Goldie Jar by Sourhouse

To keep the jar free from unwanted agents, the soft silicone lid snugly fits the outside of the container. It maintains its position while allowing gases to escape with exactly the right amount of friction. With a squeeze, the lid of the starter jar comes off.

The flat bottom of the jar provides great contact with the Goldie’s warming base.

They are made of transparent glass, which makes tracking the progress of your starter a breeze. Naturally, the jar’s straight sides make it simple to mix, clean, and keep track of your starter’s rise.

For measuring when your starter has doubled, there are dots on the edges of each PINT size jar in increments of 50ml and 100ml (or tripled).

Moreover, each jar includes a gold rubber band to create a custom reference level.

Does your starter have a name? A dishwasher-safe sticker is included if you would like to give your starter a name tag. We recommend using a permanent marker on the sticker.
